Over the course of the last 2-3 years I have owned both a Danby standalone refrigerator and small freezer. You are provided with a 12 month warranty however, if you choose to register the warranty online you get an extra 3 months. Real nice you say? Right! At 16 months, my Danby freezer thermostat went on the fritz and temperature would swing wildly (from about -10 to above 25 degrees. Reply from Danby once I was able to reach someone. too bad, out of warranty however, we'd be happy to sell you the parts! Danby refrigerator, after about 18 months during shutdown after reaching optimum temperature (if that's what you can call anywhere from 32-50 degrees!) ice from the refrigeration plate (inside back of unit) melts and runs down inside refrigerator and toward the door.
